The authorities have a whole playbook that they use to try to convince people not to kill themselves. The typical routine by which this works is that after someone has reported you to the cops for having suicidal ideation, they'll have a whole lineup of people talk to you, each of whom will approach the topic from a different angle. The first one will probably be a cop, who will tell you, "Your family's worried about you," or "You have to think of your family first," etc. The message is, you're selfish if you don't put them first by choosing to live for their benefit. If that doesn't work, though, then next they'll take you to talk to a shrink.
The shrink will usually lead with, "Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem," "There's always hope," etc. If you discuss your specific situation with them, they'll come up with some hypothetical ways it could turn out for the best, although one of the weaknesses of shrinks is that most of them weren't very successful at life, which is how they ended up getting stuck with a shit job like being a shrink who's on call to talk people out of suicide at all hours of the morning. So they won't actually have a lot of actionable advice other than, "Try these pills and see if those help."
If you still aren't convinced, or if the drugs distort your thought patterns in a suicidogenic way, maybe you end up actually killing yourself at some point. Then, the message the authorities tell the public is, "He was mentally ill, and that's why this happened." Notice, though, that this kinda contradicts earlier messages they gave you. It's assumed at this point that you were just overcome by a disease you couldn't control, and that had no rationality to it. At this point, they don't really talk so much about selfishness or shortsightedness anymore, except insofar as your disease prevented you from thinking clearly. They don't really view it as a moral failing at that point, because if it were a moral failing, it would be outside of the purview of the shrinks to try to treat it scientifically.
Another reason they prefer to medicalize it is, they don't want to get into a conversation about the facts and logic that were part of your thought process, because that might lead in some direction that wouldn't be politically correct. Whenever a suicide happens, there's a blame game to determine who was at fault; and it's easiest if they can just blame a mental illness and say, "If only he'd taken his meds" or "If only we'd had time to get him on the right meds before this happened" or "Despite the meds we gave him, it wasn't enough to overcome his depression, because he was just that badly fucked up in the head before we even started treating him. It's probably genetic" (which means it's a shame to the family, like being ugly or stupid, and not anything that's society's fault).
On the other hand, if you were black, or gay, or whatever, they would probably say, "He was so badly oppressed that he finally killed himself. People kept bullying him and look what happened." They would acknowledge in that case that your actions were logical. Maybe if you were a chick who claimed to have been raped in the past, they would say, "The trauma finally did her in."
As a heterosexual white male, though, even in suicide you don't get to claim any kind of victimhood. You are deemed to be so dominant in society that it's impossible anyone could ever fuck you over to the point you'd want to take your own life. Even if you got frivorce-raped, the emotional pain and discouragement of that is all going to get swept under the rug; it never gets acknowledged, other than as a manifestation of toxic masculinity in which maybe you get enraged for no reason when all a woman was doing was dissolving her marriage with you due to irreconcilable differences and looking out for the best interests of the child by taking custody and garnishing your paycheck for child support. If you have a problem with that, it just goes to show what an abusive, controlling asshole you are.
Likewise, if you're one of the 30% of men under 30 who isn't getting any pussy, society will say, that's your problem, since if you had a good personality, girls would flock to you. It's just assumed that 30% of young men have shitty personalities, I guess. Apparently, men's personalities are getting shittier over time, because in the past there weren't so many incels in that age bracket. Anyway, if you kill yourself because of your inceldom, people will just say, "It's really a shame that he didn't realize how easy it is to get laid, but rather he was led astray by those awful inkels he was talking to online, who said it was over for him. He just needed to get a haircut and take a shower and be confident and put himself out there."
Never mind the fact that even a game guru like Roosh can't get a decent woman. That's obviously due to his toxic masculinity, amirite? Because no man with misogynistic attitudes ever got laid. It's only good feminist men who respect women who ever get laid. The nicer you are, the more you get laid, as they say. Someday you'll find a nice woman who appreciates you. Maybe not one of these young and dumb women who doesn't know anything, but an older woman who's been around the block enough to value what you have to offer. Maybe it'll take awhile to gain her trust, because she's been abused by a lot of assholes, but it'll be worthwhile in the end.
