The women who hang out in the manosphere

Mon May 27, 2019 6:58 pm

Obviously, there aren't very many of them, since a lot of these communities have a strict "women-out" policy. The idea is, if women are allowed to hang around, men will white-knight to try to impress them, and it'll wreck the few male-only spaces we have left.

That perhaps would've been true on a forum like RVF, where there were a lot of "big ballers" talking about how they banged 8s and 9s. If high-value women perceived there to be a lot of high-value men there, they might show up looking for them.

Indeed, if a guy held himself out as such a big baller, but then got shut down by 8s and 9s (or perhaps even the 6s and 7s) on the forum, it could've called into question how much game he really had, at least when it came to gaming girls in online forums. But now that the manosphere is going in a more incel direction, maybe this won't be as much of an issue. At any rate, it's an acknowledged part of game theory that there's a 60/40 rule (i.e. that most "rejections" are due to factors that have little to do with the man's characteristics; the girl just is not DTF for whatever reason), and that one has to play the numbers game, so individual "rejections" don't really mean all that much.

Another concern men have when women enter the manosphere, or any male community, is that women have the power to elevate some men in status while diminishing the status of others, by their decisions of whom to have sex with. At the same time, though, these decisions have great potential to redpill (or blackpill) men about the true nature of women. If they are having sex with losers, for example, that could greatly validate certain game theories.

Women have never been totally banned from places like RVF, because they've always had the ability to at least read what's been posted to the site. They only places they've been excluded have been, e.g., the private forum there, that's only accessible to members with 250+ posts. So it's always been possible for girls to, e.g., have a blog where they comment on RVF threads. Women have also had the ability to reach out to those members who made their contact information public.

In incel-oriented manosphere communities, the women who are likely to show up are not top-tier girls; they're girls who are looking for men who are less intimidating, whom they can succeed with. We can divide these girls into a few categories. (1) Virginal girls, typically in their early 20s, who have been heavily sheltered under an authoritarian father, and are getting impatient for sex and/or a relationship. (2) Post-carousel girls, most of whom started having sex in their teen years, and have a series of failed relationships behind them.

We can also divide these girls into the categories of career and non-career girls. The seriousness with which they take their university studies, or their career, can affect their availability to travel to be with geographically remote guys, unless maybe those guys bring a lot to the table. However, men willing to travel might be able to bang some of these girls.

Lately, we're seeing a phenomenon of more "emcels," women who have trouble getting a relationship because they carry too much baggage, are too engrossed in their career, don't meet the profile of prime marriage material (e.g. physically attractive 18-22-year-old girl, with few previous sex partners, who doesn't give off vibes of being a crazy chick). They would prefer to get married, though (pretty much all chicks do), and are probably willing to compromise with regard to the guy's physical attractiveness to get that.

So, what's the thesis of all this?

It's kind of like the one-paragraph psychological thriller Sex Crazed Love Goddesses, from Steve Martin's collected short stories. https://www.reddit.com/r/books/comments ... goddesses/ There's the more obvious text, which to the unsophisticated plebe may seem to be lacking in a thesis; but the subtext is subtler, and you have to read in between the lines to get the full meaning. Once you reach the level where you can do that, you know you've really made it.

I know, though, that you discerned the thesis and are just asking the question rhetorically for the benefit of the masses, so that they can realize there is a deeper understanding to be gleaned, and use this exercise to sharpen their skills.
